For almost all of us, our first impression of fairytale love comes from Disney. But it’s only a lucky few who get to bring it full circle and have a magical, nostalgic wedding at Disney, itself.
This is the story of just that.
Among all of the charming characters, larger-than-life castles and surreal backdrops, Jennie and Roshan celebrated their wedding with their closest family and friends over the course of three unforgettable days.
And while the massive Disney resort, located in Florida, had just about everything covered, the bride and groom brought along some Indian magic of their own to make their wedding complete.
Day 1: A Destination Disney Wedding
Bride-to-be, Jennie, and groom-to-be, Roshan, made a grand entrance at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion.
The baraat had all of the cultural traditions covered, including a mobile DJ vehicle and dhol drummers!
The couple and their wedding planners did an exquisite job at combining both the magic of Disney and the essence of the Indian wedding.
Disney, with a Touch of Indian
After the procession, the beautiful display of Indian customs continued with the subsequent wedding ceremony.
The decor was a fresh combination of pastel pink and Cinderella blue.
Florals decorated the mandap and the ceremony progressed as the couple and their guests enjoyed the unreal view of Cinderella’s Castle just steps away.
Fairytale Feasts are Best Indian
After the religious ceremony concluded, the newly weds’ first meal together was a traditional Indian cuisine with a side of the Disney Parks classic- Mickey Ice Cream Bars!
The intimate lunch gathering had some of the most classic dishes- everything from idlis, paneer and of course, masala tea.
What a surreal experience it must have been for guests to be enjoying their samosas and chutney, right in the middle of the world-famous, *not to mention dreamy* Disney resort.
Day 2: The Disney Resort Reception
The day after the wedding, guests weren’t due at the reception until the evening, giving them a full morning and afternoon to bask in the fun-filled entertainment of the park grounds.
And when the evening did arrive, the wedding festivities raged on with yet another grand event.
Disney Entertainment, Indian Flair
Taking place at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Jennie and Roshan were accompanied by their guests for a lavish dinner and dance.
Continuing with the larger-than-life feeling of the Indian Disney wedding, international talent, Zalon, took the stage to awe the audience with their musical talents.
The night dazzled on with other thoughtful inclusions like accents of glowing furniture and a decadent dessert station.
Day 3: A Grand Ending to a Grand Wedding
The final day of Jennie and Roshan’s wedding wrapped up with as much magic, love and laughter as it opened with.
Guests and the newly weds headed to the Magic Kingdom for a portrait session, commemorating the beautiful wedding they witnessed in arguably one of the happiest places in the world.
And, to make things just a little bit more Disney-wedding, the iconic coach of Cinderella made a visit.
Then of course,
They lived happily ever after.
